For real, hope he never changes. His attitude is what's gonna make the difference in his career long term. He's mentally strong and once his skills start to sharpen out, this man has the highest hopes in the world. Even tho they're losing right now, he has a winning mentality and could care less about the attention he's getting for his play. And you don't see no off-court antics with him. Just a straight hooper with a good head on his shoulders.

If you see it as a game to game/present moment thing, it sucks.
If you see it as a long-term thing, Spurs could not be in a better position:
They are building skills with the youngest roster in the league, have the second most Draft Picks for the next ten years, one of the (if not the) greatest prospects of all time, and have the perfect culture and organization to build that team.
It will just take at least 2 or 3 years to get there.
This year is learning season. Winning that game does not matter.
If anything, losing that game leads to better draft picks to build around Victor, and less pressure on the team to work in peace, away from unhealthy winning expectations.

Yet they have won 0 ring since he started in 2007.
In his first 16 years as a coach, Pop won 4 rings.
Hell, Sam Presti worked for the Spurs for 7 years before moving to OKC. He learned from them.
Sam Presti still did an amazing job, and they are headed to a dynasty.
The surest bet is their franchise for sure.
But that's why I said "they're on a similar path", and not "they will be like OKC".
I agree that the Draft does not seem that strong, but they'll get 2 high picks and they're good at developing youngsters.

not really, that allows for the guards to go downhill more, who is gonna help, the center on him? they will be too far to rotate, guard can just hit him for 3, put someone smaller/faster to keep up with his dribbling ability, and he posts them up, he can not get elite post position on most of these seasoned centers right now, you've seen
him try to sometimes, but by the time he gets the ball he's pushed to the elbow and settles for jumpers because he's already tired from the wrestling battle that ensued, ultimately his skillset unlocks more options for his guards, and they're not taking them, young team though...
